We may also request additional address and identity proofs as prescribed under the Membership Agreement of Self Drive Zone.

Non-Personal Information: We also collect non-personal information, such as browser information, usage details, and identifying technologies. This type of information does not permit direct association with any specific individual. We may use, transfer, collect, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. If we combine non-personal information with personal information, the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Self Drive Zone uses the collected information to provide, protect, maintain, and improve our services. The purposes for which we may use your personal information include but are not limited to, authentication, communication, account management, transaction processing, and service improvement. We take appropriate measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Location Tracking: To prevent theft and locate you in case of emergency, accident, lock-out, etc., we track the location of your vehicle. Your location information will be limited to Self Drive Zone's services, and we strive to keep your location or movements private unless required for personal, medical, and legal (recovery and insurance) purposes. As part of our service, the location of your vehicle may be shared with insurance companies, the police, courts, tribunals, or similar law enforcement agencies during investigations and accident claims or to provide assistance in emergencies. Information regarding the location of each vehicle on the Self Drive Zone Website is also transmitted to us.

Information with those parties. Participation in rewards programs, discount offers, contests, or other programs involving third parties authorizes Self Drive Zone to share your personal information with those parties. A third party's use of your information is governed by contracts and agreements between Self Drive Zone and the third party. By sharing this information, you agree that Self Drive Zone is not liable or responsible for the actions or inactions of third parties.

Self Drive Zone may transfer, disclose, or share information with parties who support our business, such as providers of technical infrastructure services, analysis of service usage, advertisement effectiveness measurement, customer/buyer services, payment facilitation, or academic research and surveys.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to rent standard vehicles.

• For premium range vehicles (BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Fortuner, etc.), a minimum age of 24 years is required.

• You must hold a valid Driving License and provide government-issued ID proof (Aadhar, Voter ID) linked with a mobile number.

• Local residents/students must present valid Job/College/Institution ID as proof of address.

• Failure to provide valid documents will lead to booking cancellation with a deduction of Rs. 500/- + transaction charges from the paid amount.

2. Booking and Payment

• All bookings must be made through Self Drive Zone’s platform.

• Payment is to be made in full in advance via credit/debit cards, UPI, or online transfers.

• Do not pay any amount to personal UPI IDs. Only use verified channels in the name of "Self Drive Zone".

• Self Drive Zone reserves the right to verify bookings and documents before confirmation.

3. Security Deposit

• Refundable Security Deposit:

  • ₹999 for standard cars

  • ₹499 for bikes

  • ₹5,000 for premium vehicles

• Security deposit will be refunded via the same payment method within 24 hours of drop-off, unless there is a violation of terms.

4. Pick-Up and Drop-Off

• Vehicles must be picked up and returned at the specified time and location.

• Late returns without prior notice (minimum 6 hours in advance) will incur a fine of ₹500 + ₹200/hour.

• Airport delivery is free (toll charges applicable).

• Home delivery/pick-up is available for ₹400 within 20 km radius.

5. Vehicle Use Policy

• Cars are to be used for personal/tourist purposes only.

• Commercial use, sub-letting, or unauthorized driver usage is strictly prohibited.

• Only the individual named in the booking is authorized to drive the vehicle.

• The use of the car is prohibited for:

  • Speed racing or competitions

  • Transporting illegal items or pets

  • Under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • Marriage functions, towing, pushing, or goods transport

  • Driving in restricted zones (e.g., Phulbani, Koraput, Malkangiri) – Bookings to these locations will be cancelled

6. Speed Limits and Penalties

• Overspeeding (beyond 85 km/hr) will attract penalties:

  • ₹200 for the first violation

  • ₹500 for subsequent violations

  • Repeated violations may lead to forfeiture of the security deposit

7. Kilometre Limits

• Unlimited km for bookings over 24 hours (normal range vehicles)

• 12-hour bookings: 250 km limit

• Two-wheelers: 180 km/day limit

• Premium cars: 180 km/day limit; extra kms @ ₹30/km

• For trips outside Odisha, customers must inform us at least 24 hours before pickup. Failure to do so will result in booking cancellation without refund.

8. Fuel Policy

• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start.

• In case of shortage, refueling charges will apply.

9. Insurance and Liability

• Insurance is provided for the vehicle only, not for the driver.

• Customer is liable for damages up to:

  • ₹25,000 for normal vehicles

  • ₹75,000 for premium vehicles

• Insurance claims apply only for damage above these limits.

• Any damage due to overspeeding, unauthorized use, or negligence is solely the customer’s responsibility.

10. Roadside Assistance

• Self Drive Zone offers best-effort roadside assistance.

• If the issue arises due to customer violation, full service costs will be charged.

11. Prohibited Activities and Penalties

• No smoking, alcohol, or drugs allowed inside the vehicle – fine of ₹2,000.

• Penalty for unauthorized commercial use or carrying illegal items is ₹5,000 or as levied by authorities, whichever is higher.

12. Tracking and Monitoring

• Vehicles may be monitored via GPS for safety and tracking purposes.

13. Cancellation & Modification Policy

• Cancellation by Customer:

  • 24 hrs before pickup: 50% refund

  • <24 hrs before pickup: 25% refund

  • No show within 6 hours of pickup time: No refund

  • Vehicle swap/change: ₹500 charge

• Postponement: Allowed once (subject to vehicle availability) without charge.

• COVID or lockdown-related cancellations: No refund, but postponement permitted.

• Cancellation by Self Drive Zone: Due to unavailability or breakdowns, full refund without deductions.

• Refunds will be processed within 7 working days.

14. Termination

• Self Drive Zone reserves the right to terminate bookings or user access at any time, without prior notice, for violations of terms or at the company's discretion.

15. Working Hours

• Service Hours: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM, all days.

16. Dispute Resolution

• Any disputes will be resolved through arbitration under the applicable laws of the state where the booking was made.
